Who we are

CivilDesign AI is a software-as-a-service platform operated by Gueridon LLC (Glendale, California). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Questions? Email support@civildesign.ai.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, organization name, and a securely hashed password.
• Content you provide — the documents and data you upload or enter into the tools (for example specifications, plan submittals, project addresses, coordinates, and bid information) and the outputs generated from them.
• Billing information — for the self-serve Consultant plan, payments are handled by Stripe. We receive Stripe's reference identifiers and subscription status; we never receive or store your card number.
• Technical and security data — sign-in timestamps, session data, and IP addresses associated with authentication events, kept for security and audit purposes.

How we use it

To provide and operate the service, authenticate you, generate the tool outputs you request, secure the platform and maintain an audit trail, process billing, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

AI processing

Some tools (for example the Redline Plan Checker and the Permit Counter assistant) send the content you submit to Anthropic's API to generate drafts. Anthropic processes that content to return a result and, under its API terms, does not use it to train its models. Other tools run entirely on our own servers. Outputs are informational drafts for review by a qualified professional — see our Terms of Service.

Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie (HttpOnly and Secure) to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we run no third-party trackers.

Service providers

We share data only with the vendors needed to run the service: DigitalOcean (hosting, United States), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI drafting features), and Zoho (transactional email). Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms.

Data location and retention

Data is stored in the United States. We retain your information for as long as your account is active. We delete an organization's data on account closure or on written request; abandoned, never-verified sign-ups are purged automatically.

Your choices and rights

You may access, correct, or delete your information, and California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these, email support@civildesign.ai.

Children

CivilDesign AI is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and multi-factor authentication. See our Security page for details.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the effective date above when we do.
